Kings and presidents throughout history have enjoyed a game of dominoes. One of the earliest domino sets found was located in China and dated to around 1120 AD. One famous US president, Lyndon B.Johnson was a domino enthusiast and he used to play the game with friends in Texas. For many centuries diferent domino sets have been used around the world to play a wide range of domino type games. Dominoes is a game enjoyed by both young and old around the world.

There is little information about the early development of dominos. The earliest written references in the Western world date from around the middle of the 18th Century when domino games where played in France and Italy. The game later spread allover Europe finding its way to England and later to America. Standard domino sets consisted of 28 tiles that display all the outcomes of throwing a pair of dice, but larger sets have been used to accomodate larger group of players. Domino stones traditionally are black with white pips and historians think that the name dominoes derived from the latin word 'dominus' which meant master or lord.
